How To Package Your Laptop

Please read the these shipping instructions regarding preparing your laptop/notebook and accessories:

1. Properly packing your laptop is extremely important to avoid damage during transit.  We can supply you with a transit box which is sent to you in the post or you can package your laptop yourself.  The cost of a transit box is £5.

Alternatively you can package the laptop yourself using your own packaging or better still use the original box your laptop came in.

As a general guideline, use a box with at least a 5-10cm (2-4") air gap between the laptop and the top, bottom and sides of the box. Fill this air gap with packing foam, bubble wrap, or similar protective material. Even rolled up newspaper will work.  It is advisable to bubble wrap your laptop and accessories also.

2. Include the following items in the box:

  • Your Laptop (obviously!).
  • Battery and AC adapter - Pack these items to the side of the laptop and NOT on top which could crack the display if pressure is put on top of the box!
  • Username and Password to log into Windows main account.
  • A copy of your repair request email we send you (or include your Name, Address, Contact Number and description of the problem).

3. If you are arranging your own shipping ensure you have adequate shipping insurance to protect your equipment from damage during shipping and ship to us at the following address:
